Interests and Activities
For the past 30 years I have been researching the history of the electrical industry. This includes enhancing the historical displays at Northwest Lineman College which includes insulators, tools, books, meters, test instruments and equipment.
Significant Accomplishments
- One of the first Linemen on the West Coast to be trained and perform live line maintenance on 500 kV lines.
- Was selected to train others in line construction methods, vehicle operation and switching.
- Was appointed to Superintendent of the Southwest Bakersfield project, which involved replacing 16 miles of underground cable at a cost of 13 million dollars. The project was successfully completed as scheduled mitigating a sever service reliability problem.
- Developed and initiated a new Yard Management Program which reduced T&D crew yard time and improved productivity. The program was based upon improved planning, prefabrication, preloading of materials and recycling used materials.
- Developed a new 24 hour Electric Dispatch Operation
- Played a significant role in the development of the Northwest Lineman College correspondence based Power Delivery Program apprentice lineman curriculum.
